SPECIAL BULLETIN
WILD APPLE JACK'S LITTERMATE, AUTUMN MOON OWNED BY JACK HARANG AND HANDLED BY SCOTT CHAFFEE HAS JUST BEEN NAMED THE 2008 GRAND NATIONAL GROUSE CHAMPION
Wild Apple Jack is the product of mating Elhew Liebotschaner (Lady) and Wynot Ace. Jack has been handled and trained by Craig Doherty and is truly an amateur dog. When at home, he lives in the house and is a warm and affectionate animal. When turned loose in the woods or on the Texas prairie, he is all business and all bird dog. He is a naturally front running dog that developed early, winning the 2007 Grand National Grouse Championship at the age of three. His sire, Wynot Ace, won the 2003 National Amateur Grouse Championship and the 2003 International Amateur Woodcock Championship as a Fall derby and is currently owned by Jack Harang. Elhew Liebotschaner was given to Craig by the late Bob Wehle and has excelled as a wild bird dog here in New England and as a quail dog in Texas. She has both derby and shooting dog placements but has been run sparingly as she has been bred to Ace four times, most recently producing a litter in August 2008. Since winning the Grand National and the Northern New England Woodcock Championship, there has been substantial interest in Jack as a stud dog. For more information Contact Wild Apple Kennels. A limited number of puppies and started dogs will be available from Wild Apple Kennel in the future. Check our Puppies and Started Dogs page for updates.
